1. Who is this Forward Deployed Engineer training for?

Experienced software engineers, solutions engineers, and technical consultants who already build production software and want to own client-facing delivery, from ambiguous discovery through to a deployed, working system. It assumes a working engineering background; this is not an entry-level program.

2. What is the difference between a Forward Deployed Engineer and a Solutions Engineer?

A solutions engineer designs and demos a solution during the sales cycle. A Forward Deployed Engineer builds and deploys the production-grade version after the deal is signed, embedded inside the client’s environment, owning technical success through go-live and beyond. The SA sells the vision; the FDE makes it real.

3. Does this cover AI and agentic deployment, or only platform integration?

Both. The program forks into two tracks in Week 4: Enterprise Platform Deployment, focused on legacy systems, APIs, and data pipelines, and Applied AI & Agentic Deployment, focused on deploying RAG and agentic systems into client environments with evaluation harnesses and guardrails. Every participant builds one end-to-end and is exposed to both.

4. What is the format and duration?

10 weeks, roughly 80 training hours, delivered live online, in-person, or hybrid. The cadence assumes 6 to 8 hours per week and is built for working engineers, not a full-time bootcamp.
